She was predeceased by: her parents, Jason Lane and Zannie Mae Franklin Lane; her former husband Wayne "Pee Wee" Fortune; her siblings, Betty Clark, Bonnie Hollifield, Barbara Owens, Mary Sue Wallace, Dorothy Oliver, Jason "Bud" Lane Jr., Irene Street, Charles Lane and Lula Mae Lane; and her grandchildren, Brandie Wolfcale and Sabastian Fortune.
She is survived by: her husband Ted Carlton; her children, Jennifer Garcia (Oscar), Rhonda Fortune and Michael Fortune (Morgan); and her stepsons, Jeffrey Carlton (Kari) and Steven Carlton (Jenny). She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Restoration Church (133 Gardenbrook Dr, Forest City, NC 28043). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at the Eternal Hills Memorial Park (1565 Oakland Rd, Forest City, NC 28043).
