She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie D Whitesides and Cora Lee Eplee Whitesides; her husband Claude Harrill Cogdell; her siblings, Pete, Flora and Evelyn; and her grandchildren, Zander and Hazel.
She is survived by: her children, Calvin, Becky, Lonnie and Odessa. She is also survived by Eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Crowes Funeral Chapel (118 College Ave, Rutherfordton, NC 28139). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
