She was predeceased by: her parents, Newton Perry Roach Sr. and Roxie Wilkie Roach; her husband Luther "Neal" Shelton; her daughter Lisa Ann Shelton; and her brothers, Bobby Glenn Roach, Perry Roach of Newton Perry and James "Troy" Roach.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Lail (Robbie) of Forest City, NC, Luther Neal Shelton III of Forest City, NC, Willie (Liz) of Chesnee, SC, Ronald (Gena) of Spindale, NC and Perry Shelton (Kelly) of Golden Valley, NC; and her siblings, Leon Roach (Linda) of Forest City, NC and Janet Reid of Forest City, NC. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crowe's Mortuary (118 College Ave, Rutherfordton, NC 28139). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery (1810 Poors Ford Rd, Rutherfordton, NC 28139).
