With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Ramsey (Rutherfordton, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on December 25, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Sheldon Ray Ramsey; her parents, John Earl Childers and Vida Mae Neill Childers; and her grandsons, Zach Norville and John Mark Gary.
She is survived by: her children, Rita Rae Gary (Bill), Douglas Kyle Ramsey and Lori Norville (Chuck); her siblings, Helen Sue Childers White, Charles Childers and Donald Ray Childers; and her grandchildren, Kara Leggett, Chad Norville, Jennie Doran, Jon David Ramsey, Joanna Ramsey, Jesalyn Ramsey and Becca Gary. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
