She was predeceased by : her father Raymond Otis Poteat; and her husband James Ronald Luckadoo. She is survived by : her mother Gloria Doster Edwards; her daughter Donna Militello; her siblings, Steve Poteat, Leesa Hilty, Andria Horn and Brandi Poteat; and her grandchildren, Brooklyn Militello (Sydney Green), Alexander Militello, Lucas Fincannon and Dominic Fincannon.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Crowe's Mortuary (118 College Ave, Rutherfordton, NC 28139). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Crowe's Funeral Chapel (118 College Ave, Rutherfordton, NC 28139).
