She was predeceased by : her mother Doris Sims Hodge; her close friend John Jublee Hardy; her stepdaughter Juliet Shelton; and her pet Babe. She is survived by : her daughter Shalyn Laughter; and her grandchildren, LaRue Lyn Laughter (Myles), Lukcas Levi Laughter, Anna and Nevaeh Shelton.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Fellowship Holiness Church (301 Deviney St, Spindale, NC 28160).
