She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Bowen and Reba Randall Bowen; and her husband Dan Earley. She is survived by : her children, Phyllis Bailey (Danny) and Mike Earley (Carolyn); her grandchildren, Nikki Rhodes (Trent Parris), Dana Faust (Mark), Jennifer Abernathy (John) and Allison Davidson (Jodie); and her great grandchildren, Cameron Rhodes, Caylee Rhodes, London Faust, Sydney Faust, Lilly Abernathy, Benji Abernathy, Mary Danner Abernathy, Owen Davidson and Ellory Davidson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spencer Baptist Church, 187 N. Oak Street, Spindale, NC 28160 or Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
