She was predeceased by: her son Richard Knaus; her husbands, Carl Marcus Knaus and Palmer Walden; her parents, Matthew Maier and Norah Maier (Williams); her sisters, Esther Bymers, Alice Stenberg, La Vern Larson and Donna Hagen; her niece Debra Carlson; and also John.
She is survived by: her children, Judith Doty (Patrick) and Paul Knaus (Terri). She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
