He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Ertmann and Margaret Ertmann (Ring); his wife Trudy; his father-in-law Alfred Halldorson; his siblings, Victor, David, Charles Ertmann and Marjorie Wallander; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Wallander and Elaine Halldorson.
He is survived by: his daughter Tina Heisler (Donny) of Audubon, MN; his grandchildren, Alycia Heisler (Evan Balko) of Moorhead, MN and Sydney Heisler; his mother-in-law Arlie Halldorson of Enderlin, ND; and his siblings-in-law, Allen Halldorson of Enderlin, ND, Ricky Halldorson (Karla) of Enderlin, ND, Karen Ertmann of Fargo, ND and Karla Ertmann of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church (601 6th St NE, Devils Lake, ND 58301).
