He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Regan and Bertha Regan (Melvie); his wife Helen A. Karn; his children-in-law, Sherri Regan and David Koehn; his siblings, Charles Regan, Donald Regan, Margaret Frye, Thomas Regan, Harold Regan, Catherine Molly Regan, Norma Etchinson and Norman Regan; and his in-laws, Muriel and Glen Karn.

He is survived by : his children, Timothy J. Regan (Agnes) of Maple Grove, MN, George Regan of Webster, ND, Nancy Pescion (Maurice) of Cooperstown, ND, Jill Koehn of Grand Forks, ND, Diane Regan (Rene Kari) and Colleen Schuler (Curtis) of Devils Lake; his grandchildren, Ryan Regan, Talice Kraft (Kevin Jr.), Ashley Duffy (Jesse), Brent Pescion (Staci), Angela Retzer (Adam), James Koehn (Jordan), Jacob Koehn (Carissa), Ana Kowalski (Chad), Aaron Gunn, Melissa Tollefson (Peter) and Alex Schuler (Jenna); his great grandchildren, Kole, Khole, Ariana, Braylon, Ella, Callie, Mason, Rylee, Amelia, Hudson, Channing, Lux, Jackson, Juliana and Baby Tollefson; his sister-in-law Shirley Junas; and his niece Linda Stewart (British Columbia).

“I was so sorry to hear of Glen's passing away. I wish we would have had tiome to go to the farm and see him when I was home for mom's funeral. I have many memories of the days your family spent babysitting me all the way up through high school when Glen would help me prepare for a date, homecoming, etc. Between the Mertens and Regan's it was like we had two additional families.
