He was predeceased by: his parents, John Strait Sr. and Linda Fox; his brothers, Jeff Strait, Micah Cooley and Justin Strait; his grandparents, Laidman and Winona Fox; and his aunts and uncles, Lynn Spotted Wolf, Laverne IronRoad (Fox), LaVonne Alberts, Leann Fox, Leonard Fox and Lee Fox.
He is survived by: his children, Neveah, Justin, Victoria, Jasamira and Karley; and his siblings, Joe, Holly, Molly, Michael, Michelle and Isaiah. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, as well as aunts and uncles.
A procession will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the City Plaza (210 U. S. Rte 2, Devils Lake, ND 58301). A wake will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Fort Totten Wellness Center. A prayer will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
