Mae Lorraine Soper Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mae Lorraine Soper of Devils Lake, North Dakota, who passed away on October 13, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard McMillan and Hilda McMillan (Benson); her husband Byron D. Soper; her great grandchildren, Landon Stack and Blake Stack; her son-in-law Doug Stack; and her siblings, Ruth Olson, Arlene Wass, Jane Zinke, Helen Hanson and Art Halvorson.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Stack, Gary Soper (Kim) of Grand Forks, ND, Mark Soper (Cindy) and Richard Soper (Cathy); her grandchildren, Tanya Stack, Shawn Stack (Brooke), Aaron Soper (Megan), Tyler Soper (Laci), Allison Yoder (Ryan), Megan Balvitsch (Forrest), Emilee Luehring (Brent), Samantha Kohout (Brian) and Stephanie Soper; and her brother-in-law Jay Soper.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church (601 6th St NE, Devils Lake, ND 58301).
