He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Brekke and Margaret Brekke (Slettebo); and his grandsons, Wade Brekke, Jordan Olsgaard and Abraham Olsgaard.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Mark Brekke (Cathy) of Bottineau, ND, Scot Brekke (Pam) of Devils Lake, ND and Jayne Olsgaard (Dan) of Bismarck, ND; his sister Berniece Carlin of Fosston, MN; and his grandchildren, Jess Brekke (Jessica), Ryan Brekke (Melissa), Kristen Johnson (Brent), Eden Meyer (Bryce), Jacob Olsgaard (Jen) and Jared Olsgaard (Alexis). He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.
