He is survived by: his wife Carla Higgins; his children, Paul John Higgins (Jen), Katie Kramer (Matt) and Aimee Gilbert; his grandchildren, Noelle, Harper Higgins, Madisyn, Morgann, Ryan Kramer, Mikaela, Noah, Matthew and Joshua Gilbert; his brothers, Daniel Higgins and Michael Higgins (Debbie); and his in-laws, Carlyle and Georgia Engelby. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
