He is survived by: his wife Sally Ripplinger; his children, Connie Elijah (Mitch), David Ripplinger (Jennifer), Carla Gordon (Ian) and Ray Ripplinger (Lisa); his stepchildren, Steve Nosbusch (Danene), Chad Nosbusch and Sarah Vrem (Shelby); his siblings, Rosemary Schwan, Frances Walker and Peter Ripplinger (Jeannie); his grandchildren, Muriah, Myles, Marshall, Nadia, Sarah, Joseph, Ayden, Austin, Hannah, Colby, Autumn, Bailey and Cassey; and his great grandchildren, Jonathan and Samira.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gilbertson Funeral Home (509 US-2, Devils Lake, ND 58301). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (517 4th St NE, Devils Lake, ND 58301). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:15 PM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery (517 4th St NE, Devils Lake, ND 58301).
