He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kueneman and Lavina Kueneman (Schill); his daughter Barbara Gefroh; his parents-in-law, Clarence and Helen Elfman; and his siblings, Frank (Zella), Harold (Bonnie), George (Anna), Richard, James, Catherine (Matt Weber), Shirley (Bob Ray), Rita (Dan Senger), Mary and Joseph.
He is survived by: his wife Clarice; his children, Lori Swenson (Marlin Rude) of Devils Lake, Linda Koth (Chris) of Minnewaukan, Brenda Ryan (CJ) of Minot and Rob Kueneman (Kamie) of Fargo; his grandchildren, Michael Swenson (Kelsey), Steven Swenson, Kayla Hannesson (Justin), Rylee Gefroh (Kate), Jayde VanFleet (Jason), Casey Ryan, Jacob Ryan, Kaden Kueneman (Taryn), Kinley Kueneman and Kendall Kueneman; his great grandchildren, Landon, Collin, Cannyn Walter, Rosabella and Emmeline Gefroh; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Alana Touche, Hunter, Fisher and Emily Hannesson; his siblings-in-law, Arlene Loken, Gary, Linda Elfman, Dianne, Don Mikkelson, Gordy, Joy Elfman, Donna, Jim Fuchs, Dwight, Sandy Elfman, Connie and Warren Swenseth; and his close friends, Barry, Lori Schwan, Marlene Hanson and Bob Schilling. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, Godchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gilbertson Funeral Home (509 U. S. Rte 2, Devils Lake, ND 58301). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (517 4th St NE, Devils Lake, ND 58301).
