He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlen Crist and Janice Crist (Syverson); his wife Leslie Ludwig; and his sister Lori Crist. He is survived by: his pet Charlie; his siblings, Debbi Strand (Lowell) of Minot, ND, Randy Crist (Julie) of Tower City, ND, Terry Crist (Kay) of Marian, IA, Sue Haakenson (Curt) of Fargo, ND and Loren Crist (Tami) of Fargo; and his close friends, Dona Muhs, David Bokn and Mark Nygaard.
