It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jodi Tjelta of Sheyenne, North Dakota, who passed away on May 16, 2025, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her parents, James Nelson and Sharon Nelson (Schmidt) of Hinkley, MN; her husband Peter Tjelta; her children, Malinda Sturtz (Stephen) of Bismarck, ND, Ian Tjelta (Kaitlyn) of Manhattan, KS, Emily Tjelta of Sheyenne, ND, Faith Tjelta of Sheyenne, ND and Jacob Tjelta of Sheyenne, ND; her grandsons, Duncan Sturtz and Andrew Tjelta; her siblings, Betsy Hoel (Eric) of White Bear Lake, MN, Amy Davis (Jason Hanson) and Jake Nelson (Megan) of Hinkley, MN; her parents-in-law, Ralph and Katha Tjelta of Spooner, WI; her sister-in-law Sarah Kyrola (Joel) of Barronett, WI; and her nephews, Tanner Hoel, Cooper Hoel, Carter Hoel and Parker Hoel. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
