It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Martin of Benkelman, Nebraska, who passed away on May 18, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest Martin and Eva Martin (Freeland); and his siblings, Loueva Makinster, Dortha Lyons, Frances Moranville, Fern Mathews, Joe and Ben Martin.

He is survived by : his wife Jacqueline Shrum of Benkelman; his former life partner Jackie Martin of Benkelman, NE; his children, Jyl Ellis, Larry Bryan of Greeley, CO., Joni Schilke (Bobby) of Lamar, NE, Tami Hayward (Kelly) of Parks, NE and TJ Martin (Kristy) of Keystone, NE.; his grandchildren, April Jessee, Autumn Woltemath and Austin Ellis; his great grandchildren, Holden, Peyton Woltemath, Rayn, Stone, Grant Jessee, Cadence, Keziah, Tristan, Harley, Hudson Ellis, Britan Meints, Bronson, Brody, Bond Blair, Harlow Wilkinson and Nora Martin; and his great great grandchildren, Burke and Kit Meints.
