He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Boyd Stroup and Betty Stroup; his wife Janice; his son Josiah (Jacque) of Benkelman, NE; his grandchildren, JoAnna and Jaslyn; his daughter Katie (Jordan James) of Franklin, NE; his grandchildren, Calvin, Cordell and Amelia; his daughter Hannah (Doug Lutz) of Benkelman, NE; his grandchildren, Maggie, Cade and Trinity; his daughter Faith (Patrick Lehman); and his grandchildren, Hudson, Will and Della of Belvidere.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Benkelman volunteer fire department.
