He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Maris (Baty) and Jim Maris. He is survived by: his niece Mary Lisa Dudek; and his nephews, Jeff Maxfield (Kaye) of Taylorville, IL and Jim Maxfield (Connie).
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the United Methodist Church (162 W Wichita St, Wauneta, NE 69045).
Memorial Contributions may be made in Merrell's name to the Wauneta Senior Center.
