He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Louis and Mary Jane Alice Munson (Garrett); his brother Gary Munson; and his father-in-law Everett F. Buss. He is survived by: his wife Letitia M. Munson; his children, Mary A. Applegarth (Munson) and John R. Munson (Amity); his grandchildren, Willow and Kohen; his sisters, Annette C. Palmer Marshalltown (Bob) and Martha J. Fisher West (Bill); his siblings-in-law, Jeannine R. Davison (Kent) and James E. Buss (Linda); his mother-in-law Bertha T. Buss; and his pet Bella. He is also survived by one niece, several nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, a host of friends.
