He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul McKinney and Virginia McKinney; his brother Dan; and his brother-in-law Roy. He is survived by : his former life partner Patsy Smith; his wife Pat of Wauneta, NE.; his children, Amy Rozelle (Trent Hill) of Wauneta, NE. and Aaron McKinney (Monica) of Wauneta, NE.; his son-in-law Jonathan Rozelle of Kimball, NE.; his grandchildren, Kelsey Rozelle, Alexus Barnes (Edward), Austen Rozelle, Braxton, MacKenzie and Gavin McKinney; his sister Linda Rasmussen (Jack) of Dix, NE.; and his fiancé Dan Dunnihoo of Dix, NE.. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

During the span of his life, Jim was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Wild Turkey Federation, many carving clubs and stock club.

Jim Manker wrote a sympathy message

“I am shocked and saddened by the death of Jim. He was an outstanding teacher/coach who inspired so many students, including my son Chris. Thank you Jim for all that you did for the students of Wauneta-Palisade Schools. You will be missed by so many past students. What a legacy you left behind!! You and your family can be so proud and blessed of having you for so many years. RIP Jim Manker”
