She was predeceased by: her parents, George VanAlstyne and Clara VanAlstyne (Bowler); her husband Wilfred Joseph Giroux, Jr.; and her siblings, Vivian, George, Donald VanAlstyne and Shirley Generali (Chuck).

She is survived by: her daughters, Linda G. Halbrend (Peter) and Ellen Giroux (Chuck Dings); her grandchildren, Erik Halbrend (Sarah), Kristen Spielman (Timothy) of Colorado and Michael Halbrend of Schenectady; and her great grandchildren, Braeden, Abigail, Evan, Emilynn, Liliana, Cailyn and Cameron. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
