She was predeceased by: her mother Anita L. Maikels (Heeney). She is survived by: her father Paul A. Maikels; her children, Edward O'Brien, Jr. and Paula O'Brien (Marco Soler); her grandson Colin Paul Soler (Sassy); and her daughter Dawn. She is also survived by her two children, but to the many, many friends.
The pandemic, caretaking for her ailing father and then a cholangiocarcinoma diagnosis kept her tethered to Albany.
