Bauer Sr. (Albany, New York), born in Ridgewood, New York, who passed away on July 4, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Douglas departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Douglas. Though Douglas may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Bauer and Irene Bauer. He is survived by: his wife MaryBeth; his sons, Douglas (Jessica Fears) and Benjamin; his brother Bruce Bauer (Susan); and his brothers-in-law, John Robbins (Jennifer), Norman Robbins (Jeanette) and William Robbins (Cindy). He is also survived by 5 nieces, 2 nephews, 5 great-nieces, 2 great-nephews, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to Two Wolf Foundation, a nonprofit that fosters connection, continued service, and post-traumatic growth for military veterans and first responders. Two Wolf Foundation helps these volunteers continue their national service by leading a range of conservation and stewardship projects on public lands.
