It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor M. Ryan of Albany, New York, born in Ashland, New York, who passed away on May 9, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Eleanor departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Eleanor. Though Eleanor may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by : her husband James A Ryan II; and her parents, Pauline Mendenhall (Slawek) and James Mendenhall. She is survived by : her children, Eleanor L. Ryan of Albany and James Ryan (Nicole) of Castleton, NY; and her grandsons, Hunter Ekberg and Robert James "RJ" Ryan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many good friends.
