He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cioppa and Erminia Cioppa (Cioffi); his sisters, Georgianna Verleger and Rita Good; and his sister-in-law Georgette Tuzzolo (Koonz).

He is survived by: his wife Laurel Cioppa (Koonz); his children, Erminia Bauer of Niskayuna, Joseph Cioppa of Apopka, FL and Charlese Cioppa (Kevin) of Albany; his grandchildren, Kristina, Marisa, Chelse, Josephina, Michaela, Joshua, Sarah and Scott; his sister Mary Louise Mancini (Tony); and his brother-in-law John Good.
