He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Abriel Sr. and Gladys Hart Abriel; his brother Ted Abriel Sr.; and his brothers-in-law, Bruce Meservey and Paul Bechet.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Bechet Abriel; his siblings, Warren Abriel Jr. (Mary Theresa) and Linda Abriel Meservey; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Torrisi Abriel, Jeanne Barnes Jacqueline (Kenneth) and Marianne McGuirk Bechet. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in Henry's memory be made to the Albany Firefighters Widow and Children's Fund, 532 Central Ave., Albany, NY, 12206.
