He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin W. Derrick and Mildred Collins Derrick; his wife Elizabeth Fernet Derrick; and his brothers, Leland and William Derrick.
He is survived by: his children, Diane King (Wayne) of Troy, Philip L. Derrick (late Lisa), Steven G. Derrick (Monique) of Waterford, Sheila L. Wichelns (James) of Lancaster, SC, Gail E. Muller (Joseph) of Glenville, Alison M. Lyons of Waterford and Matthew C. Derrick (Jamie) of Youngstown, OH.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
