He was predeceased by: his father Hector, Sr. Cortes. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Cortes (Hart) of Canastota; his children, James D. Cortes of Oneida, Troy E. Cortes of Oneida and Cienna L. Cortes of Sylvan Beach; his granddaughter Gwendolyn Cortes; and his siblings, Robert Musacchio, David (Felicia Musacchio), Michael (Thelma Musacchio), Hector Cortes, Jr. of Chittenango, Jose (Bonnie Cortes) and Teresa Cortes of Canastota. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
