He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Karpen and Patricia Karpen (Jacques); and his brother Richard G. Karpen. He is survived by: his wife Susan Marie Premo; his children, Jacob (Abby Vincent) and Anna Karpen; his siblings, Kathy Pollock (Emmett), Tom Karpen (Phyllis), Mary Karpen (Jeff Oxford), Karen Buresh, Bill Karpen (Sandy) and Carol Ann Sharrock; and his parents-in-law, Sandy and Jim Premo. He is also survived by nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home (149 Old Loudon Rd, Latham, NY 12110). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of the Assumption Church (498 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Latham, NY 12110).
