He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mitchell and Madalen Mitchell; his brother-in-law Mark McAllister; his parents-in-law, James and Irene Long; his sister-in-law Dorothy Long; and his pet Randy.
He is survived by: his wife Thomi; his children, Meghan and James Thomas; his sisters, Marion McAllister (Timothy) and Debra McAllister; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Long and Wallace Long (Denise). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY 12205).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The FASNY Firefighters Home in Hudson, NY.
