He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Rice and David Rice; his wife Lois Dembo Rice; his son Gary Rice; his brother Arnold Rice (Marcia); and his friend Rosalyn Coleman.

He is survived by: his daughter Nancy Rice (Paul Germain) of Albany; his grandchildren, Adam Rice (Jen), Kara Rice and Haley Lobello (Anthony); his great grandchildren, Abigail, Isabelle and Steven Rice; his sister-in-law Joanne Davidoff; and his friends, Mark and Jane Levine. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
