Joanne Monahan Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joanne Monahan of Albany, New York, who passed away on May 5, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Veronica Malinowski and John Malinowski; and her brothers, Robert Malinowski and Col. John Malinowski Jr.. She is survived by: her husband John Monahan; her children, Kathleen Monahan (Paula Albertson) of Apex, NC, Shaun Monahan of Albany and Brian Monahan (Kathy Youngs) of Charlotte, NC; her grandsons, Liam and Rowan Monahan of Niskayuna; her sisters, Rosemary and Mary Lou Malinowski of Loudonville; and her cousin Joe Malinowski (Ellen). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Joanne by taking a drive, watching the ocean, or simply spending time with those you love — just as she would have wanted. In memory of Joanne, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to the Susan G Komen Foundation or a charity of your choice.
