He was predeceased by: his parents, John Boice Steele and Mary Kawola Steele; his wife Bernadette Steele (Parente) of Mechanicville, NY; and his brother Rev. James D. Steele. He is survived by: his children, John D. Steele Jr. (Amy) of Cambridge, Maria C. Steele (Dan) of Moreau and Matthew W. Steele (Michelle) of Clifton Park.
