It is with sadness that the passing of John M. Esek of Albany, New York is shared. John, born on December 11, 1944, passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
John will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor John by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though John is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. John’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Esek and Agnes Esek (Nasta); and his sister Marjorie Mykeloff (Esek). He is survived by: his brother Mathew; his sister-in-law Deborah Esek; and his close friend Dave Strazzeri. He is also survived by niece, nephews and cousins.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church (607 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12206).
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to his heart.
