He was predeceased by : his father Floyd; his sister Ann Terese; his wife Virginia (Ruscitto); and his brothers, Matt and Tim.

He is survived by : his sons, John, Jr. (Peggy), Michael and Paul; his grandchildren, Brian, Kristina, Brett, Nicole, Courtney, Savannah, Logan and Kady; and his sisters, Kathy Curley (Bill) and Patricia Jones. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
