John Lord Obituary
We announce the death of John Lord in Albany, New York, who passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 77. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. John will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew John will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. John’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lord and Mary Burdick Lord; and his brother Bruce B. Lord. He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly Soden (Kevin) of Waterford and Kristin Stephens (Jonathan) of Sherman, CT; his former wife Diane Lord; and his grandsons, Zachary, Matthew Soden and Jack Stephens.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home (133 Broad St, Waterford, NY 12188). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
