He was predeceased by: his sister Sandra Van Valkenburg. He is survived by: his significant other Sue Williams; his children, Laura Van Valkenburg and Joseph Van Valkenburg; his daughter-in-law Theresa Van Valkenburg; his granddaughter Lily Van Valkenburg; and his brothers, Bud Geel (Sharon), George Geel (Lisanne) and John Geel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
