He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Della Rocca and Mary Della Rocca (DeNora); and his siblings, Pat Thomas and Frederick Della Rocca. He is survived by: his children, Sheelah Malagrida (Dean), Joe Jr. Della Rocca (Carol) and Tom Della Rocca; his grandchildren, Danté, Johnny and Isabella; his sister-in-law Anna Della Rocca; and his close friends, Al Sagendorph, Barb McOmber, Ann Walsh, Dave and Judy Eads. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McVeigh Funeral Home, Inc. (208 N Allen St, Albany, NY 12206). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Church of St Clare (1947 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12205).
