She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hanley and Mary Hanley; her husband Daniel J. Flanagan, Sr.; and her sisters, Maureen Ferrandino and Sheila Cahill.
She is survived by: her children, Tracy Flanagan, Kathleen Engel (Ruben), Michael Flanagan (Janet), Daniel Flanagan (Susan) and Gregory Flanagan; her grandchildren, Olivia Richmond (Michael), Gregory Engel (Maria), Rory Carson (Peter), Madeleine Flanagan, Daniel Flanagan III, Jillian Flanagan and Shea Flanagan; her great grandchildren, Oliver, Lennon and Ruben; and her cousins, Skip and Honora.
In lieu of flowers Joyce requested donations be made to The Food Pantry at St. John's St. Ann's 88 4th Avenue, Albany, NY 12202.
