He was predeceased by: his fathers, Nelson Johanson and Keith; his son Brian Keith Johanson; his brother Lawrence Johanson; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Krulcik and Howard Green.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Green Johanson; his grandchildren, Andrew Johanson (Rebecca) and Kyra Phelps; his brother John Johanson (Claudia); and his brothers-in-law, William (Sally), Alexander "Big Al" and Robert Green. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
