He was predeceased by: his father Patrick Hynes; his wife Sharon Bemis; and his siblings, Shawn and Kristin Hynes. He is survived by: his mother Diane Rasmussen Hynes; his daughter Laura (Henry Cooley); his brother Richard Hynes (Kate); and his nieces and nephews, Richard, Alessandra, Ashley, Julie, Jeremy, Steven, Carrie Lynn, Shashanna and Jasmine.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Five Rivers Environmental Education Center (56 Game Farm Rd, Delmar, NY 12054).
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Kevin P. Hynes to the Hudson Taconic Land trust or Planned Parenthood.
