She was predeceased by: her parents, Florien Bilodeau and Marie-Reine Bilodeau; her husband James H. Stringer; her former husband Adrien Thibodeau; and her siblings, Jean-Marc, Yvon and Gabrielle.

She is survived by: her sons, Michel Thibodeau (Donna), Denis Thibodeau (Francine), Ricky Thibodeau (Laurie) and Stacy Stringer (Amy); her stepchildren, Lowell Stringer (Linda), Bob Stringer, Mary Cooper (Rene) and Paul Stringer; her grandchildren, Nicole (David), Amanda (Nathan), Andre, Ryan (Amy), Juliette, Jonathan, Gabrielle and Kaelynn; and her siblings, Yolande, Francine, Nicole, Cecile, Celine and Gaetan. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials for Marielle take the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
