With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marvella Brown (Albany, New York), born in Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Zack and Mary Lou Dooley; her siblings, Helen, William Earl, Serena, Roberta, Christina, Nathaniel, Dorothy, Evelyn, Johnathan and Robert; and also Lawerence.

She is survived by : her sister-in-law Lorraine of Chicago, IL; her children, Marquerite, Mariette "Marita" and James III of Clarksville, TN; her grandchildren, James IV (California), Andrea and Brittany; and her godsons, Rod (Georgia) and Ron. She is also survived by nieces, nephews & adopted daughters & sons.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (343 New Karner Rd, Albany, NY 12205). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
