He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Doherty and Mildred Doherty; his son Christopher Doherty; and his grandson Marshall Connor. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Doherty (Piela); his children, Michele Gerhard (David) of Voorheesville, Julie Nooney (Clifford) of Feura Bush, Patrick Doherty (LeeAnn) of Guilderland and Kelly Connor (Bryan) of Ballston Spa; his grandchildren, Ryan Gerhard, Matthew Nooney, Rae Nooney (Quill), Meaghan Doherty, Kailyn Doherty, Carly Connor and Avery Connor; his siblings, Barbara Norton (Robert), Thomas Doherty (Therese) and Kathleen Miller (Kurt); his brother-in-law Walter Piela, Jr.; Walter Piela, Jr.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
