Michael left this world on July 30, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. Though Michael may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Michael touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Michael J. DonVito Sr. and Marguerite Carazza DonVito; his spouse Lynn DonVito; his children, Virginia DonVito MacPhee (Roland), Linda DonVito Hughes (Dave), AnnMarie DonVito, Stephanie DonVito, Michael J. DonVito III (Kimberly), Brian DonVito (Jill Hodson), Mark DonVito (Maria) and Kevin DonVito (Kimberly); and his pet Bella. He was also cherished by 23 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Please Enter the Funeral Home (208 N Allen St, Albany, NY 12206). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (816 Union St, Schenectady, NY 12308).
