He was predeceased by : his father Nicholas A. Piterniak, Jr.; and his son Brandon A. Piterniak. He is survived by : his mother Rosanne M. Bylo Piterniak of Albany; and his siblings, Robin M. DeLorenzo (late Stephen) of Cohoes, William T. Piterniak (JoAnne) of Cohoes, Laurie A. LaDue (late Donald) of Schenectady and Kelly J. Roberts (Ernest) of Cohoes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home (105 Vliet Blvd, Cohoes, NY 12047). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
