With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Robert J. Allen of Albany, New York, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his daughter Maureen. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Allen (Ormsby) of Albany, NY; his children, Robert Allen, John Allen and Meghan Claudius (Matt); his brother Thom; his sister-in-law Beth Ormsby; and his nephew Steven.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the McVeigh Funeral Home (208 N Allen St, Albany, NY 12206). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the All Saints Catholic Church (16 Homestead St, Albany, NY 12203).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the St. Vincent's food pantry.
